Red Yeast Rice yeast contains the active substance monacolin-K with an effect similar to that of statins, but without their side effects. It blocks HMG-CoA reductase (which the body needs to synthesize cholesterol) and reduces the amount of cholesterol in the blood. It can also help reduce bad LDL cholesterol.
The dry artichoke extract stimulates the production of bile, increases bile solubility and cleanses the liver from the accumulated fat.
