Although ginger is widely used in cooking, in recent years it has become extremely popular as a dietary supplement, due to the biological properties of its active substances gingeroles and zingerones. At Lamberts we use a standardized extract that contains the active ingredients of ginger in a concentrated form of a dark colored paste that is dissolved in sunflower oil and placed in capsules. By using this method, its active ingredients are preserved unchanged: gingerols and zingerones. Over 14g of fresh ginger root is required to produce 120mg of extract, an amount contained in each capsule of Lamberts formulation.
